Daytona Beach

This past Monday the boys and I went to Daytona Beach to meet some family. The Forrester's own an adorable beach house. Allison, Bethany, Bethany's mom, Austin, Caroline, Holland, and Aunt Martha were all there. Although we only stayed one night WE HAD A BLAST!

Fourth of July

Our 4th of July was pretty low key. It rained all.day.long!

The evening before, in the rain, we set off a few bottle rockets. Todd would "blast them off" and Jayden and Ryland would run after the debris.

I think they were more excited about picking up the remains than the actual BOOM.

This picture makes me laugh...it doesn't even look like Ry-Ry

We did get a chance to bake a cake. Jayden helped me decorate it.

Atlanta Day 3

I was so impressed with how much there was to do at Stone Mountain. I thought getting there around Noon and then staying until the laser light show (at 9:30) would have given us more than enough time. It turns out, we could have spent more than one day there!

Atlanta Day 2

The Children's museum was AWESOME! Thank you Cory for suggesting it! There was an interactive ball system, trains, building, farming, dress up, grocery shopping, painting, fishing and a parade! I don't know who enjoyed it more...the adults or the kids.

The sea aquarium had different areas that you could explore at your own leisure and double back if you wanted. We saw sharks, whales, manta rays, otters, alligators, penguins, and LOTS of fish!

Atlanta Day 1

Last week, we (Todd, Mindy, Jayden, Ry, Mimi, and Grandaddy) went to Atlanta for 4 days for a summer vacation.

On Monday, we drove from Gainesville to Atlanta. It took about 5 hours and we arrived in the early afternoon.

Mimi bought a dual dvd system for the suburban.

After checking into the downtown Marriott, thanks to Michelle, we walked to Olympic park. There were bounce houses set up for the kids and they had a great time!
That evening we went to see the Braves vs. Nationals. Although it was HOT and we didn't get to meet up with the Guenther's we had a great time!

We ate dinner at the Chop house and had perfect seats for the game. The Braves won 5-0 (all of the runs were scored in the 7th inning).
