A WEEK at Mimi's & Grandaddy's

As of today...ONE MONTH TO GO!! Although, based on the last two, I don't think it will be that long.

Last week, the boys went to Mimi & Grandaddy's for THE.WHOLE.WEEK! It was VBS week at mom & dad's church and I still had a full week of work left. So the previous Friday, Dad came down to do some house projects with Hottie (since I am no help at all)! Then the boys & Dad left Sunday, after church, to go to Gainesville. The following Saturday, we met in Orlando for a kid swap. The boys had a great time and did not miss us one bit! Hottie and I enjoyed some us time; went to the movies, out to dinner, and sat in.complete.silence.
Here are a couple of pictures from VBS!

I have a First grader...say what?

Now that the school year is over and Jayden has finished Kindergarten I am SHOCKED that I have a First grader! I think the realization is surprising to me because of the vivid memories I have of Kindergarten and then First grade. I remember my teachers, I remember my classroom, I remember the significant events happening in my life at the time. I mean how can I remember it so vividly and yet Jayden is at that time in his life!?!? His school held a special graduation/awards ceremony for the classes.
I of course made a snack for the after party. Jayden earned the math award, language arts award, and principal's award. Congratulations Jayden on a very successful first year of school. We pray that you continue to love school and excel!

Ryland's end of the year show

This week is Ryland's last week in the 3 year old room at preschool. Although he starts summer camp next week and will continue Tues & Thurs over the summer, this is his last week with these friends. The theme for his afternoon class (his morning class is cultural enrichment where they spend the year "visiting" other countries/continents) was the fruits of the Spirit.
"Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control" Galatians 5:22.
His teacher's Ms. Heather Howie and Ms. Lyndsay honored each student with an acknowledgment of their favorite activity and an award. Ryland's favorite activity was playing on the playground with Alyssa and he was given the Laffy Taffy Award."Ryland has a contagious laugh at the pit of his belly while playing. We can't help but laugh with him, and do things to make him laugh!"
Can you tell he didn't' want Daddy to go back to work?

Memorial Day Weekend

On Saturday, of Memorial Day weekend, we had two families come over for a Potluck-pool- party. The Carroll's have 3 boys (and a 4th on the way) and the Alhrich's have 2 (one who is just 6 weeks old). The ladies and I were in a bible study together last summer and then all became pregnant (with boys) over the last year! We joke that in a year from now with all 12 boys (9 kids and 3 husbands) we are definitely going to need some girl time! Here is the kids table! Some action pool basketball shots. And delicious dessert!

32 weeks survey

How far along? 32 Weeks...SAY WHAT?

Size of baby? By now, your baby weighs 3.75 pounds and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in your uterus.

Total weight gain/loss? 12 pounds...don't hate! (6 pounds at the 26 week check-up and 6 pounds at the 31 week check up.)

Movement? All.the.time. I've gotten to the point now that if I haven't felt him for a while I start to worry.

What I miss? Not being uncomfortable. Hottie told me that when one of his friends asked how I was doing he said started to get uncomfortable, she doesn't really want to get out and do much. And he is exactly right I find myself more and more choosing to not do something with the boys. That is one of the reasons that I have decided to enroll the kids in summer camp 2 days a week this summer. I think getting out of the house Tuesdays & Thursdays will be good for me and THEM!

Sleep? Depends. Last week I did some prenatal yoga before bed and I slept great! Other nights I wake up every couple of hours...just because.
