Ryalnd's Christmas Show

Ryland was the show stopper "THAT kid". Not only did he sing every song he also kept a continual conversation going. Highlights included: "Mom did you get your hair cut?"
"I have to go to the bathroom", "Did you remember to get my lip stuff?", " What is taking so long?", "Why aren't you taking a picture of me?"The tie and hat were part of his costume

Stuart's Christmas Boat Parade

The other weekend we set out to watch the Stuart Boat Parade. We packed up our blankets and chairs, got take out from 5 GUYS (YUMMY!), hot chocolate from DD, and headed to get a seat. The boat parade started at 6:00. We picked a a park just a little south of the starting point. Where by all normal calculations the boats should have passed by there a little after 6:30. We got there a little before 6:00 and got perfect seats. And then we waited. And waited. And WAITED. Around 7:30 eight yes you read right EIGHT boats came by.
Well...at least the food was good!

O Christmas Tree

Earlier in December we went and picked out our Christmas tree.
I wanted to go to Santa's tree village. Todd wanted to go to Home Depot.Santa's tree village had hay rides and hot chocolate. Home Depot has flat beds.
Santa's tree village puts your tree on your car for you. Home Depot gives you these insightful suggestions.
And uses chain saws.

Christmas card bloopers

Did you notice the new header?
I had a hard time picking "the one" for our Christmas card.
Here are some of the rejects bloopers
Say CHEESE
Too many shadows (never mind Ryland's look of sheer pleasure)!
Thanks Ryland
I'm falling and I can't get up
Look mom no neck
This probably has do with with the f-stop or iso. You know those fancy camera things.
And I will leave you with this. DO NOT stick your tongue out at your kids to try to get them to have "real" smiles.
