A servant heart.

Saturday on our way home from Walmart Jayden saw some people picking up trash off the shoulder of the road (grass area). He asked if we could clean up our road when we got home.

And so we did.

Jayden I set off, gloves in hand, to pick up trash. We did our own lawn, the neighbor's lawn, and the area across the street.

He already has a servant's heart.

It's tough being a woman #4

It's tough being a woman thrown a giant-size weight.

Maybe that "weight" has something to do with poor timing, or unreasonable expectation(s), risking being identified, or unanswered question(s).

"Every giant-size weight drops into our laps right on schedule. None of our purposes will be fulfilled easily. I had to accept that I was not called o an easy life. i was called to a purposeful life." -Beth Moore

Deja Vu.

Here we are again...black eye #4.

This time a metal golf club was the culprit.

Ryland was at his home day care where he was accidentally hit in the eye with a metal golf club. Ouch! Thankfully his actual eye/eye socket wasn't injured (it hit right above/below) and only bruising occurred elsewhere.

A "pretend" leprechaun came to visit.

I am always looking for ideas to celebrate...just for fun. Last week because it was as an excuse for St Patrick's Day a pretend leprechaun came to visit.

First he filled the boys shoes with goodies: a green toothbrush holder, green money, a green race car, and goggles.
Then he left 15 "pots of gold" for Todd.
Hope you had a good Tuesday St. Patricks Day.

It's tough being a woman #3

Click here for the previous posts.

It's tough being a woman in a mean world.

Amen sister!

Here are a few of her points:
1. Meanness has a history.
2. Meanness perceives a threat.
3. Meanness catches like a virus
4. Meanness is curable.

When one isn't enough.

I went out to get the mail and left Ryland in the ever capable hands of his very conscientious brother and save-save-save father and returned to find this.

And what had Todd and Jayden been doing during this debacle? Watching "how things are made" on the Discovery channel. I guess the production of Cheetos can be thoroughly enthralling. Perhaps me taking a picture gives a mixed message of my disappointment :-).

It's tough being a woman #2

(I'm behind on posting these but I will catch up) Here is the first post.

It's tough being a woman in a world where beauty is a treatment.

"My goal is to suggest how thoroughly and literally we've bought in. Beauty is an estimated $29 billion business in the United States annually. We will never be beautiful enough for our Persian-like world to leave well enough alone. We'll always need more treatment." -Beth Moore

Ironically, or maybe not so, I'll be posting later this week about a new beauty treatment of mine :-).

Ryland at 23 months, 1 week, and 1 day.

Ryland got up from his nap and walked out of his room.

Ryland got up from his nap, never even called out, climbed out of his crib, opened his door, and walked out of his room.

Uh-Oh!

Hi!

It's been a restless few weeks.

A senior, from school, died March 2; she had touched many people's lives. Services weren't until the following Saturday (March 7) which left a lot of grieving to do. The entire week was horrible!

At the same time FCAT preparations started (which means HOURS of numbering and labeling FCAT test books). Then last week, was testing all week. I'm talking HOURS of testing.

So here we are March 15th.

I will leave you with this:

Matching shirts, similar shorts, fruit bars in hand, brotherly love.
