Happy Easter

We spent the weekend in Gainesville for Easter and had a fun-filled, wonderful, family-centered time!

We arrived Thursday in time for dinner. Pizza with the Cox's.
Friday we went to the mall and then watched Slumdog millionaire.
Saturday we went to my Aunt Martha's Easter egg hunt/brunch.

Saturday night was bon-fire time.

Sunday was Easter baskets, church and lunch at the Riverhouse.

It's tough being a woman #6

It's tough being a woman who can balance passion with patience.

Even though our culture is training us in impatience we must reflect on the importance of knowing:

1. When it's time.
2. When it's time to wait.
3. When it's time to wait for someone else's time.
4. When the " in the mean-time" is God-time.

Happy 2nd birthday Ryland!

CAN YOU BEIEVE IT? Ryland is TWO YEARS OLD!

It's gone faster than it did with Jayden, it's gone faster than I imagined, my "baby" is two, oh my time has flown by!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Friday was my 33rd birthday.

Thank you to all my well wishers via Facebook, my co-workers, my card-givers, and everyone else who just realized it was my birthday and are now wishing me a happy day!

Work has been especially crazy (I accepted the JV cheerleading coach position) because of cheerleading tryouts, entering schedule requests for the 09-10 school year, and just the "normal" stuff; but my friends made my day extra special!

In the morning I got Ghirardelli's chocolate muffins (to.die.for), Gerber daisies, purple pens, and gummie bears. We got take-out lunch from TooJays and they even made me my favorite birthday cake (lemon cake with lemon icing).

I had already opened my gifts from mom & dad the night before but opened my wii fit board that night. And had my favorite birthday cake!

Here we are with all my loot:

Don't be jealous but Jayden told Todd (almost two months ago) that he wanted to get me a Hannah Montana card for my birthday. Thirty-three and Hannah Montana...ahhh!

It's tough being a woman #5

It's tough being a woman in the tight fist of fear.

"We can protect ourselves right out of our callings. Sometimes we are our own road block in the fulfillment of our calling." -Beth Moore

1. You have a choice.
2. You have to face the fear. (Don't be taunted by the "what ifs")
3. You must take the courage. (Courage is not the absence of fear)

A big boy bed.

We did it.

We moved Ry-Ry into a toddler bed. We've left the crib assmebled just in case we need to move the mattress back (not that he doesn't climb out).

The first night Todd and I were taking bets on how many times he was going to come out but HE DIDN'T COME OUT EVEN ONCE!
