It's tough being a woman #6

It's tough being a woman who can balance passion with patience.

Even though our culture is training us in impatience we must reflect on the importance of knowing:

1. When it's time.
2. When it's time to wait.
3. When it's time to wait for someone else's time.
4. When the " in the mean-time" is God-time.

It's tough being a woman #5

It's tough being a woman in the tight fist of fear.

"We can protect ourselves right out of our callings. Sometimes we are our own road block in the fulfillment of our calling." -Beth Moore

1. You have a choice.
2. You have to face the fear. (Don't be taunted by the "what ifs")
3. You must take the courage. (Courage is not the absence of fear)

It's tough being a woman #3

Click here for the previous posts.

It's tough being a woman in a mean world.

Amen sister!

Here are a few of her points:
1. Meanness has a history.
2. Meanness perceives a threat.
3. Meanness catches like a virus
4. Meanness is curable.

It's tough being a woman #2

(I'm behind on posting these but I will catch up) Here is the first post.

It's tough being a woman in a world where beauty is a treatment.

"My goal is to suggest how thoroughly and literally we've bought in. Beauty is an estimated $29 billion business in the United States annually. We will never be beautiful enough for our Persian-like world to leave well enough alone. We'll always need more treatment." -Beth Moore

Ironically, or maybe not so, I'll be posting later this week about a new beauty treatment of mine :-).

It's tough being a woman #1

I started a new bible study last week, Esther: It's tough being a woman. Beth Moore, the author/facilitator/leader, interviewed hundreds of woman about their difficulties of being a woman. Overwhelmingly the answers resulted in three categories.

It's tough being a woman because:

1.) Yielding. Whether this be to our husbands, families, bosses, co-workers, etc. We KNOW we have the best idea(s) and want others to KNOW it too :-).

2.) Balance. How do we do it all? Why do others expect us to do it all? And why do we guilt ourselves if we don't do it all?

3.) Hormones! If there is premenstrual, menstrual, and post menstrual hormonal issues each month, that leaves us...one unaffected week a month!

So, why is it tough being a woman for YOU (and this is not at the expense of the boys in our lives)?
