The tooth fairy

Jayden's first adult tooth came in BEHIND his baby tooth; this is much more common than I knew. Several months ago he mentioned that if felt like a tooth was growing in behind his other tooth. I thought, because most of the kids in his class had begun to lose their teeth, he wanted to be like them. I was wrong. Sure enough his permanent tooth came in behind his baby tooth. At his last dentist visit, the doctor mentioned pulling the baby tooth. So on Wednesday Jayden lost his first tooth! We had never talked about the "tooth fairy" because he never had a loose tooth but thanks to school he knew all about her. I was even informed that the tooth fairy can be a guy. Say what? Jayden said that he was going to get $20 or $50 dollars for his tooth. Say what?
That night Jayden placed his tooth on his dresser (he didn't want it to get lost under his pillow). The next morning the tooth fairy had left him 1 penny, 1 nickel, 1 dime, 1 quarter, and 1 dollar for his 1st lost tooth.
Let me tell you he was not impressed!
