Ryland's Christmas show

Ryland's Pre-K Christmas show was based off the book:  Advent Storybook: 24 stories to share before Christmas.  The book follows Benjamin Bear on his way to Bethlehem to meet baby Jesus.  The little bear, led by a glittering star, meets many others on his travels across hot deserts, snowy mountains, and through dark, lonely nights.  His adventures, filled with acts of heroism and kindness, and many small miracles, show him the path to Bethlehem.

Twenty-four of the kids had a "part" and all the children sang in between the stories.  I was very impressed that 4-5 year olds were so good for the 45 minute show.

Ry was story #4.  He had "to hold a book and stay still as a statue"

And then of course we have the 'real Ry'

For his school party we made snowmen for the morning class.

We used powdered doughnuts, candy corn for their noses, and black icing for the eyes and mouth.  I got the idea from Pinterest and forgot to take any pictures of our creations.

We also made Christmas tree cookies for the afternoon class.

 

We made sugar cookies and used m&m's for the tree.  Again forgot to take any pictures; but thanks to Pinterest for the idea and pictures!
